Aspire Scholarship is a prestigious initiative launched by the Swayam Charitable Trust, a not-for-profit engaged in CSR initiatives and other philanthropic works of the Chowdhry family. This special initiative aims to provide essential support to aspiring engineers who face financial obstacles in their pursuit of higher education and help create a brighter future for them in their pursuit of excellence.

The Scholarship, aptly named ‘Aspire’, embodies the spirit of aiming high and dreaming big, principles that need to be encouraged in the youth. The title of Dr. Ajai Chowdhry’s memoir, Just Aspire, now a national bestseller and soon to be available in a student-friendly paperback edition, is also a reflection of this philosophy. 

Aspire Scholarship is managed by Buddy4Study, a leading provider of scholarship management services. It will ensure seamless management of the programme through its cutting-edge technical interface and also provide administration-related services and support.

With an initial support of Rs. 10 crore for the first three years, this initiative commenced last year with the 2023-2024 B.Tech. batch, marking the beginning of an extraordinary journey for 28 deserving scholars. 

The next two years will see Swayam’s management meticulously select 28 outstanding scholars each year from first-year B.Tech. batches across eleven prestigious institutes in India. Through a period of three years, starting from the 2023-24 batch, the Scholarship will empower up to 84 scholars, offering them comprehensive financial assistance for the entire duration of their program.

The financial support provided by the Aspire Scholarship goes beyond covering only tuition fees and includes hostel and mess fees for the selected students throughout the program (subject to annual renewals based on predetermined criteria).

The selection process for these exceptional scholars is rigorous, and conducted by Swayam’s management or its appointed jury through a fair and transparent selection process that upholds the highest standards of excellence.
